A recent stay at the utterly enchanting Villa La Massa in the hills outside Florence reminded me why I love Italian white wines so much. Their bright citrus flavours and mouthwatering acidity make them some of my favourite styles to drink in summer. So this week I’m spotlighting four of the country’s grapes: Verdicchio, Vermentino, Carricante and Garganega (Soave).
